The Captain’s Daughter is a short film created for the St Leonards Horror Film Festival 2016. The film won 5 of the festival’s 11 awards – Best Film, Best Director, Best Actress, Best Cinematography and the Audience Choice Award. It has subsequently been selected for screening at five film festivals in the UK, Italy and Morocco.
Tech Stuff: The film was shot in 4K on a Panasonic GH4 (CineLike D) with the Voigtlander Nokton 17.5mm f/0.95. There’s also one shot with the Lumix 7-14mm, one shot with a GoPro Hero4, and one shot with a cheap MZ5000 650-1300mm zoom. Edited in Premiere CC with Cineplus KinoLUT.
